Minutes - USAPL PA State Meeting at the American Open

Friday December 10, 2004

 EC Members Present: Terri Kunsman, Mike D'Amore, Robert Keller, Mike Shirey,
Erik Steiner

The meeting convened at 8:20pm.  Terri & Mike D' presided; Mike took
minutes.

 Treasury Report - Treasurer Eric Kratz was absent due to the impending birth
of his son.  In any case, we have $0 as of now...Update to this, USAPL PA
raised $270.00 from the raffle.

 List of EC members either continuing in their positions or named to finish
the term at this meeting

 We will be holding a raffle on Sunday to raise funds for PA.

Priscilla Ribic, Nick Theodoreau, Mr Kuhns, Titan & Inzer all donated to the
cause

HS State Championship

This may be a possibility.  We discussed possible coordination with USAPL
New Jersey, Pennridge HS, Emmaus HS, Johnstown HS, Glenn Mills HS & Abington
Heights HS.  Claude Welcome will be updated with regards to this discussion
and will be asked to take the lead on this.

 It was unanimously decided that Team PA will officially change its name to
Team PurePowerlifting.com.

 Update on DT Failures - Nate Williams failed his test for Boldenone, A
second lifter whose A sample tested positive had his B sample tested and it
was negative.  He will be notified of his reinstatement.

 Drug Testing options were discussed.  Robert Keller, USAPL OMT Committee member, explained the difference between an IOC full spectrum test and the Steroid Panel generally used at Quest.  The difference between these two options will be documented and given to future meet directors. 

It was decided that USAPL PA will reserve the right to run IOC panels on
lifters at the discretion of the state EC or the State Chair if the EC is
unavailable.  Tests will be funded by the state treasury or by the national
office. 

Mike announce that will not re-run for co-chair.

 Contest Bid Schedule

PA Cup Invitational - This meet will be held in Dunmore on February 5th.  Up
to ten National caliber lifters will be invited.  The sanction is all set.

 States - Niko's bid was accepted unanimously.  The meet will be in the York
area and the date will probably be set for early April.  Robert will make
his equipment available.

 State Single Lift - Terri's bid was accepted unanimously.  The meet will be
in Bethlehem and will be held in coordination with the Lehigh Valley
Bodybuilding Championships.  Robert will make his equipment available.

Northeast Regionals - Jim and Janelle Brown agreed to submit a bid for a
three lift meet in late September or early October.
